A delicate antique diamond band by Ostby & Barton, one of America's best-known early 20th-century jewelry makers. Seven single-cut diamonds form a slender line across the finger, set in 18k white gold with fine engraved detailing continuing along the sides. Beautiful worn as an antique wedding band, stacked with other rings, or simply worn on its own.
The interior holds the remains of an old hand engraved inscription, now softened by generations of wear. I love these little traces of a ring's earlier life, especially in a piece that has survived for around a century.
