Amethyst & Diamond Fleur de Lis Slide Charm

A circa 1960 Victorian Revival slide charm in the shape of a fleur de lis, set with two marquise-cut amethysts and sparkling diamond accents. I love how much detail is packed into such a small piece, with the purple stones defining the top and bottom of the design.

Slide jewelry originated in the Victorian era, when decorative slides were worn on long chains and used to adjust their length. The style experienced a major revival in the mid-20th century.

Today, simply thread it onto a fine chain or cord and wear it as a pendant. The chain passes directly through the slide, allowing the fleur de lis to sit centered without a traditional bail. Wear it alone or layer it with other charms and pendants.
